anyways, we paid for uptime that wasnt happening, so you moved us to a different IP to a box in san jose. fair enough.


my problem now is that the server only works intermittently, and frequently lags at regular intervals in game. its an awful experience for our players. also, when I get into the control panel, the server is "Stopped" and any attempt to start it works until the page it refreshed, and its stopped again.

its been shut off sometime between 1AM and 3PM pacific time today. 1am was the last time i was actually in game in the server, and 3pm being when I checked the status. it was totally off, not in garrys mod server browser, and game tracker cant find it either. GCP reports it as "stopped" and it cannot be started.

this is unacceptable. I have SO many people bothering me on steam chat and on our website asking whats wrong with the server. we are losing players who cant stand it being down every few days. its impossible for us to grow our community when you try so hard to bring us down. switching our IP address completely destroyed our visibility among players and it was a fresh start after a hard first month of promoting.

I also understand that garrys mod has a lot of players who commonly DoS attack servers like ours, I want to know whether that is the source of the lag or if its something on your end. either way, ive installed the DoS fix addon to the server, havent noticed any improvement. I would like to know if you have a system in place to block IPs who have extremely above average usage? those would be the DoSers.
